The Role of the PSN Fiscal Agent
What does the Department of Justice expect from PSN fiscal agents? And what is the role of the fiscal agent in the PSN task force? Fiscal agents are encouraged to attend this workshop designed to educate participants regarding the specific roles and responsibilities of a PSN fiscal agent, and how their work helps to support PSN goals and initiatives.
Speakers to be determined, but will likely include a BJA staff person, a fiscal agent representative, a representative from a U.S. Attorney's Office or the Firearms Enforcement Assistance Team.

The Role of the U.S. Attorney's Office in Working With the PSN Fiscal Agent
Designed as an overview for U.S. Attorney's Office staff on the PSN fiscal agent selection process, this workshop will first outline the fiscal agent's role on the PSN task force, then explore ways to effectively partner with fiscal agents for positive, long-term results. PSN Coordinators from the U.S. Attorney's Office are highly encouraged to attend this session.
Speakers to be determined, but will likely include leadership and/or staff from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, their Office of General Counsel, the Executive Office for United States Attorneys, and a state agency fiscal agent.

Successful Grant Management
Achieving project goals and delivering on intended outcomes relies significantly on successful project management. Well-established grant monitoring protocols for record-keeping, compliance, and oversight will be shared in this workshop, as well as how grant issues, red flags, and complex problems can be identified early—or prevented entirely—through effective project management.
Speakers to be determined, but will likely include a BJA Quality Assurance Manager.

Identifying and Leveraging Resources for PSN
Discover the wide range of federal resources currently available to help support PSN efforts, including funding, Web sites, listservs, and publications. This workshop will also offer "real life" practices from districts and their nonprofit partners who have successfully leveraged resources beyond PSN funds to implement and sustain a gun crime reduction strategy.
